102 Haematological studies of fresh water fish labeo rohita

Abstract : Fish haematology has acquired a highly useful status in fishery management, fish physio biochemistry and physio pathology. The fish haematology offers one of the easiest, cheapest and reliable methodologies to diagnose the status of fish health and treat them. Now while much literature on various aspects of haematopatho physiobiology is available on most of the important freshwater fishes in India. Pandey and Pandey (1974), Bhaskar and Rao (1987), Joshi (1981, 2000), Bhatt and Singh (1981, 1985), and Rauthan et. al. (2012).

107 Assessment of Water Quality of Budaki Medium Irrigation Tank Shirpur, Dist- Dhule (Maharashtra) India.

Abstract : Nobody has done assessment of water quality of Budaki M.I. tank even though it is utilized for pisciculture, irrigation and domestic purposes. It is an urgent need to assess the quality of water. The Physico-chemical parameters of Budaki M.I. tank were studied during June 2013. to May 2014, from different sites. The results revealed that there was a significant seasonal variation in same physico-chemical parameters. The Water temperature ranges from 21°C to 33°C, Dissolved Oxygen 1.5 to 5.5 mg/l, PH 7 to 7.9 mg/l, Total Hardness 102 to 180 mg/l, Nitrates 22 to 48 mg/l, Phosphate 0.5 to 2.5 mg/l, Calcium 7 to 35 mg/l, Magnesium 6 to 28 mg/l. Above values are within the acceptable limits of drinking water ,hence the water is potable and suitable for various purposes.
