Morphometric techniques are reconnaissance tools useful to identify areas experiencing tectonic deformation called Tectonic Activity Indices (TAI). TAI has been derived for the study area using various techniques such as Hypsometric Integral (HI), Drainage basin asymmetry (AF), Stream Length-Gradient Index (SL index), and a ratio of valley floor width to valley height (Vf).
