Khan | | Abstract : Pterocarpus marsupium Roxb. economically and medicinally important species. The seeds of P. marsupium shows poor germination and plant stand. Among the different treatments tried to enhance the germination potential of seeds the treatment with H2SO4 15 minutes, scarification by sand paper technique and treatment with GA3 500 ppm were found most effective and overall germination percentage increased significantly as compared to control. Treatment with hot water also given satisfactory results.

The present work is focused on the synthesis and characterization of Zinc ferrite nanocrystals and their subsequent as an attempt to modify the structural and magnetic properties. The samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR, TEM and VSM techniques.
