Aghamkar | | Abstract : Nanoparticles of ZnFe2-xGdxO4 (where x=0.012, 0.025, 0.050, 0.075) series have been prepared by co-precipitation method. Different ferrite ratios were selected in order to study structural and magnetic properties. The addition of Gd3+ in the structure of Zinc ferrite has been investigated in order to explore the possibility of Gd for Fe substitution in the solids. The crystallinity increases with an increase in Gd3+ ion concentration. Results of measurements reveal strong dependence of structural and magnetic properties on Gd3+ ion concentration.
