Chattopadhyay | Abstract : Spring has wide applications in physics. Using Hooke’s law and Archimedes’ principle one can use a spring to find the density of solid and liquid without measuring the mass and volume. In this paper, another easy and simple method for the determination of density of liquids and solids (without measuring mass and volume) with the help of a spring is discussed. In this method only the knowledge of Hooke’s law is necessary and no need to know the Archimedes principle.
